The U.S. Naval Academy Leadership Conference brings together the best minds in the practice and study of leadership to exchange ideas, experiences and methods with both military and civilian students. The conference format is intended to support this theme and encourage healthy debate and interaction among participants.

Military institutions attending the conference have included the U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy, Royal Military College of Canada, and the Royal Australian Naval and Military College. Twenty civilian universities also send student leaders.
