Trust and Teamwork in the Rapids
Whitewater rafting is a fast-paced experience that emphasizes the importance of trust and teamwork in a challenging environment. On the river, the success of the team is dependent on participants effectively working together to maneuver through the rapids. Effective teams learn to break through common barriers such as fear and mistrust by coordinating their efforts. Leadership, communication and focus are critical components for team success - on the river, in school, and in the workplace.
Learning objectives for this event include building crucial communication skills under pressure, developing a network of trust among team members, learning to react quickly in critical conditions, and enhancing effective team performance.

Wharton Leadership Ventures are active learning experiences focused on enhancing team leadership skills. Dates and registration procedures for all events are announced through e-mail, are posted on Spike, and appear in The Wharton Exchange electronic newsletter.
