ACADEMIC ADVISING SUPPORT

The Wharton Undergraduate Advising Office offers many avenues of academic advising support. Walk-in advising, advising by appointment, info sessions, and specialized advising are all services available in G-95 to current Wharton undergraduate students.

Walk-In Advising
Walk-in advising is available throughout the year. Walk-in advising is intended for brief, 15-20 minute advising sessions. Each day, a different advisor will be available to see students during walk-in advising hours on a first-come, first-serve basis. During the academic year, walk-in advising is available from 11am-4pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Wednesday, walk-in advising is available from 1pm-4pm. During the summer, walk in advising is available from 11am-3pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Wednesdays in the summer, walk-in advising is available from 1pm-3pm. Please call G-95 at (215) 898-7608 to confirm walk-in hours, as these hours are subject to change.

Advising by Appointment
If you feel your advising needs require more time with an advisor, or if you would like to see a specific advisor, you are encouraged to make an appointment with an advisor. To make an appointment with an advisor, please stop by G-95, call us at (215) 898-7608, or email an advisor directly.

Information Sessions
Throughout the academic year, group advising information sessions are held on a variety of topics, including: choosing a concentration, studying abroad, and applying to submatriculation programs. Check your Wharton e-mail and the "Announcements" section of the Undergraduate website to stay informed about upcoming sessions.

Specialized Advising
Each advisor in the Wharton Undergraduate Advising Office has an area of specialty. While students are welcome to see their preferred advisor, certain types of advising areas have dedicated advisors, and students may be referred for specialized advising accordingly.
