Round 10 of the Fall 2009 Course Registration Auction has closed and results are available on the MBA Program Office website (see Auction Results in the Quick Links box) or on your auction interface. This concludes the Fall 2009 Course Auction.
We will upload all seats that you received in the auction to the University PennInTouch system tomorrow. You should see them on PennInTouch within 24-48 hours. If there are problems (too many credits, time conflicts, duplicate seats), your registration will not upload and you will be asked to come to our office to resolve the issue. Please come in immediately as you will be dropped from the webCafe site for the class if you are not correctly enrolled. You will note that the Spike listing for the course will also been removed.
Post-Auction Changes:
- Waitlists: If a seat becomes available in a Q2 section that had no open capacity at the end of Round 10, we will offer it to the highest Round 10 bidder for the amount of his or her 10th round bid. We will notify the student by email and include a response deadline. (The turnaround may be very tight so, please check your e-mail often.) We will do this only for one week and registration in the class is contingent upon instructor approval.
- Course changes: If you need to add, drop, or swap the section of the a course, you will need to use the new online format (see Spike>Courses>Registration Changes). The deadline to drop a Q2 elective course is Monday, November 23, at 11:59pm.
- Selection of Pass/Fail Status (request Pass/Fail or graded options): You may take up to one credit unit of elective coursework on a Pass/Fail basis each semester. You can view which courses can be taken on this basis by reviewing the auction interface. Changes to the grading status can be made directly on the auction interface, in the "my items" box. Courses taken on a Pass/Fail basis are not counted toward your GPA for honors purposes, unless you receive an “F”. Further, there are restrictions regarding whether or not these courses can be counted in fulfillment of some majors. Students should review the Selection of Pass/Fail Status in order to thoroughly understand the implications of taking a class on a Pass/Fail basis. (See http://spike.wharton.upenn.edu/mbaprogram/curriculum/passfail.cfm for a full discussion of these implications.) The deadline for approval to take a Q2 elective on a Pass/Fail basis is Monday, November 16, at 11:59pm, After this date, requests to change grading status will not be granted.
