Round 9 of the Fall 2009 Course Registration Auction is still open for bids/asks on Q2 electives. This round will close on Thursday, October 29, at 5 PM. This is the next-to-last round of this auction and you should carefully review your auction account to be sure that you have sold any seats that you do not want. Remember: To guarantee the sale of a seat, ask zero or click on the drop button. To ask even one point will not sell the seat if there is no interest. Be sure that you also check your bids to see if you have standing bids on seats that you might no longer want.
To review the most up-to-date list of Q2 Fall 2009 Electives, see the Quick Links box of the MBAPO website.
The following change has been received to Round 9 of the auction:
Capacity Increase:*
HCMG858:001 (Q2), HEALTH CARE MARKETING, R 0300PM-0600PM, MAHADEVAN H, increase from 25 to 27 seats.
*Seats offered as a result of increases in capacity are offered at the weighted average clearing price (WAP) of the course in preceding rounds (the weights being the trading volume in rounds). When a course is offered at the weighted average clearing price, all bids for the round in which the extra seats are offered must be equal to or greater than the amount of the WAP in order for these bids to be successful. Check the Auction Interface screen entitled "Research"; the WAP is shown in the final column. See Auction Description on the MBA Program Office website for an explanation of why we have the WAP.
