WHARTON LIVE PILOT PROGRAM
The Wharton Live/Penn Live Program is a pilot program offering enhanced online services and usability. Wharton Live will be available to current, full-time Wharton students as an optional program for the 2007-2008 academic year.
WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO SIGN UP AND TRY IT OUT. This Program is the result of numerous discussions on enhanced email and expanded services with students across the University, and we’ll be putting significant resources into implementing and streamlining this service. When you activate and use your Wharton Live account, you will have access to the following services:
Wharton Live Mail
...with 5 gigabytes of mail storage, the ability to share your Wharton calendar, and set up meeting requests with other users in the Wharton community.
Spaces
...an online social networking tool you can use to share personal and professional information with Wharton and non-Wharton students.
Windows Live Messenger
...for online chats with Wharton Live and Windows Live users.
To access Windows Live services, http://live.wharton.upenn.edu
To use any Wharton Live Services – including Spaces and Messenger, you first need to activate your account. Once your account is activated, you can then forward your email to your Wharton Live Account if you choose.
After you have activated your Live account, you will have access to the following services using your Wharton account information:
To access all Wharton Live services, you'll need to login with your Live account credentials.
Login username: Wharton email address (e.g. username@wharton.upenn.edu)
Password: Wharton account password
1) First, confirm whether your Wharton Live account is active by clicking one of the two links below and log in with your current Wharton email address and password.
If you get a 'The e-mail address or password is incorrect. Please try again.' your Wharton Live account is not active. Move to Step 2.
If you are successful, skip Step 2 and move to Step 3

2) To activate your account you need to change your current Wharton password.
Click the Activate Wharton Live button below to complete the activation process.

3) (optional) If you choose to activate your Wharton Live mailbox, you can forward your Wharton account to your Windows Live Mailbox.
After you have forwarded your Wharton Mail to Wharton Live, there are a few initial steps that you will need to do:
- The first time you log into your Wharton Live Mail ( http://live.wharton.upenn.edu/mail) account online, you will be prompted to complete two steps before you can access your email online. They are:
- Enroll in the Live Challenge Response Password Reset program. This program is different from Wharton's Challenge Response program.
- Type the characters that you see on screen. This step helps Live to know that this account is authentic and is not a spam account.
- Configure your Live account with the recommended settings by following the steps on the Recommended Settings for Wharton Live Mail website.
